South Georgia Motorsports Park, Cecil Georgia, Sept 19th

I'll still be making it...quick change of plans. I'll be the guy taking pictures with the black NHRDA shirt on with an Orange and Blue University of Florida hat on. Don't be bashful, just go ahead and talk to me.

Matt and I are here camping at the track! Weather is great, not a lot of trucks at T&T though. Ya'll don't be afraid of the weather and come on up. Wake me up when ya'll get here. Gary

Just hit the hotel....... This has been the never ending day!!!!! Sat for little over 2 hours on the hwy.....UGH......

results . darren won pro stock...pretty fast pass. mickey won prostreet syrupdawg won superstreet. rodger bishop won et. rudy blew water over the track. palmer snapped an input. nick norelli tweaked his front end. i think thats it.

Okay, I'm on my laptop now. Pretty good passes by some. Darren had some fast passes, not sure what the deal was with em. The sixty foot times were a little screwy. But other than that...just a pretty hot day. I got some pretty good shots. I'll upload em when I get home.

The sixty foot we thought was some part of the body dragging through the beam but its smoke from the waste gate when I leave. Trust me this will be fixed asap. I did have some great launches and the most mph I have ever run. First pass 166.95 second 168.85 I think a few more adjustments a we can be consistently run in the 7's for sure on fuel only.

Well the track was set up great and I finally got my truck to hook after the first pass. ran the best times i ever have

congrats to the Cairo crew.... seems you guy mopped up the field

only class we didnt win in was Sportsman and Elliot got eliminated by .004 of a second

That was an Awsome Track! Congrates to SGMP their track is great! Congrates to Darren, Mickey, Syrupdawg, and Roger! Where was everyone else at? This should have been the biggest race in the division this year????

I ran a personal best also of course I Didn't want to at the time, But Oh well!

wow... that's sad

I know Swole and I would have been there but, he windowed his block and I blew up my turbo at NADM's event the week before. I believe a few more that were there broke too but, otherwise would have showed.

The drive probably held many back. It's like driving from Miami to the panhandle for many cause they're in N.GA, SC or NC.

its the same problem...several trucks in the pits that were capable of good passes but the owners didnt want to race...we have to find a way to get more trucks at these races. The same people that wont race at the track want to race on the streets though? They beat on the truck harder on the street than they would at the track. In albany several years ago the track owner would have a race for a $10,000 purse. Hundreds of cars would come from a long ways away to run for that much money and the track owner would make money because of the number of cars that came plus it draws a bigger crowd. There is one thing i also want to say about this event in cecil...there was really no advertising for it. If I was not a member of CompD I would have not even known about this event. Why not get a a member of NHRDA in every region surrounding this and get them to post flyers around their towns? just my 2cents

Yea I agree I was monitoring this thread all week and even contacted NHRDA EVERYONE anticipated a much larger turnout.

Actually I agree that is an awesome Idea.

To everyone I got to meet, thank you for treating me with friendship and respect this was my first ever diesel event and my first bracket race and it was awesome, I got a lot to do to keep up (obviously 16.3) lol but I enjoyed every second, thank you NHRDA for pouring out your passion to keep events like this going and I truly enjoyed meeting everyone.
