SPEARCO Duramax Intercooler 01'-06'

Guess we will see when the get out in the field this summer towing.

I never believe mfr claims blindly. 200 deg with no changes other than the brand of intercooler seems a bit much, but I suppose it could happen.

While I only run a stock charger, generally in the 32-38 psi range playing around. My max air intake temp is 124* (with 65-80 degree outside temp), how much lower is this really going to get?

Maybe with the 42's and AK5's??

Good point

That's a good point and all the spearco equipped trucks in my area have seen those 200 degree drops with IC and turbo but my neighbor seen 125-150 degree drop with just the spearco :) he wasn't really after big HP gains more the EGT drop while towing the 19k 5ther and it would get hot in 80hp tow mode.

I have some data on a intake temps with a stock intercooler and an A5K. Max intake temp was 210* ambeint was 70*. This was recorded during a eight second long dyno pull. We did have a fan on the front of the truck. Driving down and doing WOT blastes could not get it over 200*.

The big thing here is that the stocker is was built to hold up to 20psi. How long will it live at 60+?

Just finished running some tests on my truck. The gains are there, but not huge at the 500RWHP level...

P.S. EGT's go UP when you are a tad overfueled which most of us are...
