I just boght a new turbo last week a s400 hybrid, it has a 66mm wheel 74mm exhaust wheel and a .90ar housing basically a IIsb style turbo. I have 200hp inj. redline box, edge ez for timing, I cannot get this thing to light for the life of me, Im wondering if my injection pump can have anything to do with this? It is just to laggy. Maybe my inj. are to large? I tried it with just a ez still nothing, only redline nothing, I cant even spool it up in 2wd brake bossting, my truck seems to stall at about 1400 while its doing all this, It doesnt act like its actually on the converter at 1400 its like it hits a huge fueling wall...to say the least it starts fueling really hard there. thanks

also do 99 models have torque managment? maybe a bd rad box would help if so?

IISB style charger?
You sure you don't have an s465?? Those dimensions sound like it. Is it a t4 flange?
99 doesn't have torque managment.
You need to be upwards of 1800 before you can start to build boost. You convertor sounds like it is too tight.

i have about the same stall converter and i can spool a 66/71/14 pretty fast...is the turbo wastegated??

yeah its a 465 I just meant it has the wheel configuration of a IIsb, I believe IIsb's are like .8 something a.r though? I just want to make sure it sounds like a converter issue at 1400 and not my ip giving some bad timing or something. thanks. I thought alot of other guys have ran this simialar charger and not had problems, but they are probably running a 1900-2200 stall?

U have a 14cm housing right? I think a .90 is a 16cm or so? oh and my injectors are 220-240. they are jl 7x12's if that helps at all.

ok well since its not wastegated that rules out the gate getting stuck open...those are the same injectors i am running

where does ur boost spike??

In general or my turbo? my turbo does, it had either a 71mm or 74mm option I like drag racing and sled pulling so I went with the 74.

52-55psi once I lock the converter. rpm wise like 2200 I have good boost. we always have the same injectors????lol

Where did you get the charger? I don't know any of the 465 chargers that have 71 mm turbine wheels, it is an 83/74 turbine wheel. Unless someone did some work to it. This isn't a street charger. Great puller, but your gonna not really like it on the street.

well I had miketurbo in florida build the turbo, he is getting into diesel now also he built a charger for my eclipse just a 63mm and it made 630hp on c16 so I figured I would give him another call. I like the charger on the street but I think it is because I had a hx50 before this? It is a 74mm exhaust wheel he just said he could make a 71 for me.

well anyone know where I can get a converter for a good price or better yet anyone with higher stall wanna trade. mine is a suncoast single disk.lol

I know who your talking about. Just the charger you have sounds like a box stock s465. About a $750-800 charger. Very good charger for the money for a dedicated performance option.

let me ask you this then, will that charger pass a 2.6 class using a 2.65 plug?

Yeah to get it to spool better you would have to have a tighter exhaust housing. Mine starts building 1-2psi by 1600rpm and is at 10psi by about 2100-2200rpm and then rockets up to about 46-47psi by 2400-2500rpm.

mine didnt thats why I was asking. I could clearily take the compressor cover off messure the wheel out to a 66.034mm but maybe the plug isnt true? the housing is a shrouded housing it opens up the farther away from the wheel you get.
