I don't forsee any of this coming to the market for some time given the cost associated with the required R&D to make sure this is durable enough for today's 200,000 mile motors. F1 is not applicable because they deal in unobtanium all the time given cost is of little concern to them. Fact is unless the government mandates something like this I don't think we'll ever see it. To me it makes much more sense to address the ineffeciencies of the internal combustion motor from the inside instead of shoving potatoes in the exhaust (DPF) and having toilets under the hood supplying pee to combat emissions. If more attention was paid to valve train technologoies and more over the cylinder head/intake tract of diesel motors and all motors in general a great reduction in emissions could be seen. And as a terrific side effect we'd net better mpg and more power because of it. Far cheaper to come up with half azz attempts to reduce emissions though. sorry for the tangent rant
