Give it a shot yourself. You learn and you appreciate things more when you do it yourself! Kinda the point i was getting at. You need to learn how your truck works and the best way to do that is to work on it yourself. This is the easy stuff where you can get comfortable turning your own wrenches. Its invaluable when youre stuck on the side of the road!

Not everyone has a welder/welders and a bandsaw at their disposal.

How about a Hacksaw?

and if you know you dont have a welder, buy some of the non u-bolt style clamps...

thanks for all the wonderful comments! i was in the columbus area for 5 weeks and wanted to pull! so instead of driving 6 hrs to my barn to do i thought it would be easier to have someone else do it in cbus since i had no tools down there! but no worries i made the trip and got it on! thanks for the help guys!!!!
