stainless lines cracking?

I daily drove mild steel lines for a year and put on just about 30k km on them without any issue except the one leaker (which was there since day one). Not sure why they wouldn't reccomend them, like was said, stainless is more brittle and it work hardens, so more likely to crack than mild steel.

much happier with the drivability of my truck since switching to the .093 mild steel lines. Wish i would have had them from the start instead of spending the time and money fighting the stainless lines. All the stainless lines that i had crack had really bad burs from the crimp machine on the ends where the collar seated. It looks like the concentrated force on those 2 points is what caused them to crack as all of the cracks originated from the burs. The mild steel lines that i have now dont have any burs at all.
