Stainless vs Blankets

Is there any documented proof of a performance advantage(I.E. slightly faster spooling) with the turbo blankets?

the blankets are worth the money IMHO. give levi a call and talk with him. 208-251-9141.

here's a couple of nice products fresh out of HTT....

I just got a HTT with a SS housing, and Im also running a SS header. They look awesome. Do both IMO, but the blankets are great too...

Too bad. I think the blankets look nice, but I have also heard they rust the hot pipe and ex-housings(obviously not the SS ones). I would think someone would have documented the difference if there was one. Bling without bang is just blah, blah, blah.

I don't think the blankets rust them as bad as the header wrap. The blankets don't fit quite as tight. I don't run mine on the street so it doesn't see the salt and other elements.

I've got both the SS 3rd gen manifold with the 16cm SS housing (66/16/71) from HTT as well. Definitely helped spool up. This is coming from at ATS 2 piece manifold.

I have the blankets for turbo and manifold. Will let you know when I put them on.

I also have header wrap.
Is it a good idea to wrap the downpipe?

I ran with and without an exhaust housing blanket and manifold blanket on my current ED 62/68 with a 13cm SS exhaust housing. Trust me, spend the $200 or so for the manifold and turbo blankets they flat out work and couldn't be any easier to put on. Any time I can reduce my spool time by 100+ rpm and have the turbo shoot off to max spool faster for $200 i'm doin it every time. That's just my opinion.

X2! I have the stainless housing and 2 turbo blankets and the manifold blanket as well- nice not have to worry about burning yourself if you need to get in there.
