Hey guys, we have a 6.4 F-550 at work which has unfortunately been a pain. It has spent several hours in the shop so far. Either way, it has 59k miles on it now, and the starter always engages fine, but somehow the flexplate has a bad spot on it? If it lands on that spot when you turn it off,it wont start until you turn the engine over a little.
Is this a common issue on these trucks? I dont understand how this could happen since the starter spins over good. If the starter gear wasnt throwing out right I would think you'd notice it a lot, but it only really does it when it lands on one certain place. They wont cover it under warranty, so looks like im pulling the transmission soon
Whats the best way to get to the torque converter bolts on the Fords? Is there a plate you can remove like there is on the dodges? Thanks
