Went to the local salvage yard yesterday and picked one up. Strait forward install. Looks cool having a 6k tach!

Legally I think your required to record when the odometer was changed and the old and new readings. Which sounds like what you did. I was lucky and the one I pulled was within 1000 miles of my original.

It works, I run one, I leave the unleaded part.

does the tack read correct since its out of a v8 i know in s10 v8 swaps a v6 tack will work but not read correct, you need to put resisters or something in there

Yes the tach reads correct. The v10 has a different frequency pulse rate.
