Stock Torque Converter Hurt?

I pulled the transmission on my 95' Junker Drag truck. I have two questions, does this look like a stock converter? I have zero history on the truck so no idea if the transmission has been touched in 240K miles.

It appears to have freshly broken steel where the converter mates to the pump, is this converter hurt? It seemed to lock up just fine and hold the 180HP or so to the wheels.

Looks like a stock or stock rebuild converter to me.

I wouldn't run that converter with the damage that it has.

Here's what the pan looked like. This transmission would not shift into OD. I added a 1000 ohm resistor and it still wouldn't shift.

I put a pressure gauge on the valve body before I decided to remove the whole trans for a mild "Harry Homeowner" rebuild.

The governor port yielded 0psi till about 5 mph, eventually it would peak at 35psi at 50mph. If I went WOT, it would spike to 38psi and then drop to 35psi. ATSG manual calls for 1psi per 1mph so pressure is too low.

The accum port with shifter in D and trans in 1st gear, 55psi idle and ramps up to 78 psi WOT.
Accum port with shifter in manual 1st gear, 58psi idle and ramps up to 75psi WOT.
Accum port with shifter in D and trans in 2nd gear, 51psi at 2000 rpm and WOT 3000 rpm 80psi.
Accum port with shifter in D and trans in 3rd gear, 55psi at 1500 rpm and WOT 2700 rpm 78psi. With OD selected off and trans in lockup, pressure ramped up to 85psi then it would slip/unlock.

Rear Servo manual 1st gear, 55psi idle ramp to 80psi WOT.
Rear Servo in reverse, 155psi idle 160psi WOT.

Front Servo with shifter in D and 3rd gear 52psi idle ramp up to 78psi WOT.

Overdrive Test Port, tiny bit of fluid when I pulled the plug, Opsi during all gears, all rpm ranges, and all MPH ranges.

So what do you all think, time for a rebuild?

The transmission will shift perfectly 1,2 and 3rd with mild throttle input. WOT, the tires will spin in first gear, shift normally in into 2nd gear, and hang in second gear till I let off to half throttle and coast for a few seconds before it will shift into third.

This truck will not shift into overdrive.

The filter was filthy black and looked pretty plugged up.

Did you notice the black-brown fluid in the magnet pictures. That's the fluid, not the black bottom of the pan!

It didn't really smell burnt, just smelled like normal ATF. In fact, I checked the fluid color before I ever started the truck and it smelled fine, just looked a little dark. I was surprised when I dropped to pan to see all the dark stuff!

I figured out the low pressure problem!!!

Obviously the pump needs a new bushing and seal, what about the pump shaft, is it scarred or are those machining grooves from the manufacturer.

No wonder the transmission was low on pressure, it couldn't build pressure if it tried to!!!
