any trick to get this one(number one) injection line to stop leaking at the pump? i cant SEE a crack or anything amiss. it just leaks while running, and seems like it might be getting worse. I dont think i could possibly get it any tighter.

is it leaking around the threads or through the top of the nut? may not be seated all the way down in the DV holder.

out of the top of the nut and sleeve. ive tried to get it seated as best I can. seems seated as best as number 2 (the only other one I pulled off for comparison.

You could try scuffing/polishing the end of the line with a red scotchbrite pad, just make sure to flush the line before you reinstall it. There is the possibility that the line could have a small fracture at the crimp, I've seen it happen to lines that were overtightened and to lines that had the clamps removed.

your line is more than likely broken scottt. I know Kyle's truck has had 2 lines break on it and u can not see the crack at all.

When I get a leaky line, there is usually a small piece of crud thats in the seat thats keeping it from sealing. Pulling the line off and giving everything a good wipe with some paper towel and a spray of contact cleaner, and it seals up. Only lines that I had that continued leaking were defective ones for 24v p-pump.

I'll pull it off this afternoon and clean it up. But I'm really feeling like it's cracked or broken. But at least it's a nice easy to replace .092 SS p-pump to CR head conversion line...oh wait, not so easy after all. FML

Speaking of injection lines,,,, I know I'm highjacking in the worst way, but is there any rubber where they thread onto the injector or DV? I'm wondering if heating them to about 350-400 degrees would hurt em.

I always heard you didn't want to run SS lines on a daily driver only use them on competition pnly.

truck was meant to be less of a DD when it was originally built and I got the lines. However, some guys have said they run SS lines and don't have issues.

Scott, you can get a straight SS line to any length you need. I would call Pat @ Harts and get a line from him and have fun bending it.

got a number? can i get the CR nut on the other end too?

i was about to call Schieds to get a replacement.

Just ogt it off and it looks cracked to me, cant upload from my phone to my computer for reason though.

$93 bucks for a SS line and $78 for mild steel from Schieds...think I might be running 1 MS and 5 SS lines in the very near future!!!!

guy at Harts said to call back, didn't talk to Pat. I think the CR nuts might be an issue.

Being that they are stainless, its more likely of being a crack. You rarely hear of mild steel ones cracking. I ran .078" lines for several years with a 215 pump and I thought the lines were a PITA. I bought .093" lines when I went to the 13mm pump, and they changed the way they bent them, and not for the better. Before I screw #6 into the head, I have to weave #5 into it first. Before I can screw #5 to the head, I have to weave #4 into it. The only ones that don't get tangled into each other is #1 and #2. One of the reasons I'm thinking of doing a 12v head on the next engine.

im gonna replace this one with mild steel, then as any more crack i'll do them . just csn't afford to buy a whole set right now.

and i don't have the tooling to bend my own correctly, unfortunately.
