Stupid Question, Why do you have to do this?

We are not sure this was related to nitrous.....We were running a very small jet (35). The charger was getting tired and we have been overspeeding it for some time. The boost numbers were way over what the charger was designed for. A piece of the compressor wheel made it through the hood. Might need to look at reinforcing the hood for saftey's sake.

I agree it could...But then why aren't the bolts required with a stock exhaust(Work stock class)?
 
I didn't think you were off subject at all. I guess I need to subscribe your new thread. You guys are bringing up some great points.
