Suggestions for intake plenum

Intake horns are a waste of money, the restriction is in the actual plenum cast to the head. It's restricted at #1 and #6 cylinders. So until you machine it off and P&P the head an elbow won't help you. Buy better boots and clamps, your twins arent that big...

Anyone run turbolvr's Tunnelram?

I'd like to here some first hand experiences.

Theres almost nothing worth doing until you mill the head.

And how many of you guys who say the intake elbow is worthless have one, i'm sure LeroyVT would trade you for his stock one.
I'm not saying the elbows are night and day difference. I'm sayin all these parts we buy are working togather. If you mill that head and do a port and polish but keep a small charger with a dirty airfilter on there it is all a waste of time and hot egts anyways.

I have an aftermarket intake horn...they aren't all they are cracked up to be, and no I have more invested in it to just trade it for a stock one.

My understanding of this thread is that we are talking about a truck with a stock head being force-fed with a 35/3B setup that is blowing boots. I think setting up the gate(s) on his truck should take priority over any other mod (minus replacing a dirty air filter). He is not at the level to be worrying about milling the intake off the head or doing port work.

Well I'll be getting the intake plate that turbolvr does. My truck is pretty mild
yet and I'll let you know how mine does. I will also be building my
own intake horn but don't think it's going to help much

Well I think I have the boots fixed (knock on wood). Pulled it today on a Dyno Jet and never blew one off and boost was up there. I was just thinking boost wise I am shoving 75-80psi through something probably designed to handle 40ish max. Didn't know if there would be an improvement in getting the air to the cylinders or not. As a side note I put down 538 and 909. Thought the torque was a lil low but the rollers didn't have brakes and just kept driving through mine so I feel like I have some more juice left on the table. Didn't pull the filter off either but I was happy for the first tim being on the rollers.

Clean your hoses out with brake clean and clean the out side of tube and use hair spray (heavy) and put it together. try that it has worked in the past and as for pusher intakes they seem to be working well I know the guys down there and im trying one out

I have turbolvr's intake nice piece and by the design of it , it looks to allow a lil more air forward and towards the back. I have no numbers to back up a difference as I had alot of mods done at once.
