I am thinking about putting a 12v in a 2004 f250 2wd superduty with a 5.4 gasser motor. Do I need any kind of different motor mounts to set it in other than what destroked and everyone else is selling? And does anyone have any advice or tips that I should know before I start this project. The truck will be used for drag racing only.

Autoworld & destroked have a high HP version of the regular mounts.

I also can get the new commonrail style for the 12v which are not on the web site yet. I have a customer putting in a set as we type.

If you're capable of doing some fab work..... make your own mounts. You can find plenty of ideas from others conversions to get you thinking in the right direction.

:Cheer:

I'm really leaning towards making my own mounts. It doesn't look like it would be to hard to fab some up out of half inch plate maybe. Is there any clearance issues I need to worry about when I set the motor in. As far as firewall and brake booster or anything else. I really looks like it will probably be a pretty straight forward swap. I hope atleast.
