superheated fuel

Dont turn the pump on unless you know where the fuel is going:hehe:

This boy was swapping a VP44 on a truck with a fass, and told someone to turn the key forward for some reason. he already had the line off the pump and he almost got a face fullLOL

my fuel system is flowing so much fuel thru the pump now (i took dudes advice adn disconnected the boost from the reg to hopefully extend the life of the diaphram) (set it at 40 psi static) anyways, dont think i need to worry about superheating the fuel

drove the truck for 45 mins and could never get the t-stat to open?

back of the motor never got to 150° (water temp)

what the heck?

did a lot of other stuff when i did the fuel system...

went to ddp 4's from 3's

went to 21.75° timing from 17°

installed 4k gsk

went from 62/65-13 to 66/74-14

and deleted the grid heater

truck was empty, except for 30 gals of #2 six trailer wheels n tires n my fat nephew

but still, i leaned on it a little here n there to try to get it to cycle so i could stand on it - never happened

whtas up?

ps - could put my hand on the turbo 60 secs after we got home

too much fuel?

Was it smoking?

I'd say alot of timing.

What were EGT's like?

Switch to electric fans so you can slow the cooling. that's what I had to do on my 12V. Even with teh fan clutch "off" it still pulled enough air to cool to motor down.
