swish-gurgling noise @ heater core

There was a good writeup in one of the magazines.

Heres a partial writeup.
Only thing I dont like is how he cut the new heater core and used hose and clamps to hookup the old to new lines.
It doesnt take much longer to do it right.

It went out all at once, it blew all my coolant out... It made that wierd gurgle and bubbleing sound for about a month prior to it going completely out. A new water pump was approx 50-60 dollars at Napa. It is a five minute fix. On myn, it lost the bearing and the pully had about a half inch of wobble in it. Wobble=bad...

My 01 would do it sometimes, not sure what exactly cause's it but it sounds like water entering empty space.

Mine sounds like that too. Haven't heard it do it again for awhile though now.

The old 95 does that as well...360K on the original HG, good water pump, etc. I don't even worry about it anymore!
