Tach and Shift light for a Dmax

Has anyone installed a tach or shift light in their duramax? I was thinking about this for truck pulling and could use a little help.

Yep, Easy on the LB7. We use a auto meter, tie into a wire by the pcm and program the gauge for a 4 cylinder. It has been dead on so far.

great thanks a bunch cant wait to pick up a tach and try it.

The pin number is 10 on the clear connector, the wire is white, the auto meter gauge we use is part number 233906

alright I have one stupid question where exactly is the pcm? I know where the ecm and tcm are but i'm a little confused on the pcm.

I just looked at the wiring diagrams and the lly shows to be the same pin and color.
The pcm and ecm are the same in this case

Works the same on the LLY's as well. We have been catching it behind the cluster.
