Temp gauge for 5 speed?

Temps in an NV4500 can get over 260* just empty truck cruising.

Huh? WTH kind of "empty truck cruising" are you doing?

Is it that much different from an NV5600? Can't be that much different. Mine only gets to 140F-150F after my 30 minute communte. I've only been past 240 once that I know of .... haulin' a portable cattle corral across the state when it was 105F outside air temp. Just shy of 25K gross.

I guess if you clutch slips and makes heat I could see it, but do the 5 speeds really run that hot?

Thanks. I would say if you had a gauge that read up to 250F you'd catch 99% of your operational temps.....but ol' Loren here says different, so let him explain first. :D
