The Butterflies...

i get some butterflies i put a cd in the player and jam to it to get my mind of it and kinda to pump me up but every one that tells me when i pull i look like i am on a sunday drive but when the pull and done i am kinda shakey from the pull

Josh, you can feel your stomach? I can't feel mine, but I still get the butterflies. My first pull, my hand was shaking so bad, I don't even think I had the lever pulled all the way back...lol

Haha yep. Im a T12 so I can feel the stomach. I dont have any stomach muscles, but do have sensation.

I don't get butterflies truck pulling but I did get them when I used to pull a minirod with 120mph tire speed and the motor hitting 9000+ and the front tire of the ground about a foot going from oneside of the track to the other.
I will most likly get them when we get the 2wd down and start pulling it.

Boy I tell you what I get em in my 2wd bad. Its just somthing about it, when the chain gets tight it just feels like im the only one out there for 300 feet.

My first and only pull so far was at 2008 DHRA finals in Houston, let me tell you, it took like 5 tries to get out of the hole. Between lack of knowing what to do and a brand new clutch I put in 2 days prior. That was after the announcer spent about a minute talking up the fact that I was about to go back to Iraq my 3rd time and how it was my first pull. By the time I got down the track and out of the truck I could hardly stand up my legs were shaking so bad. Got 5th place. I can only hope I do better next time.
