Hello Racers and Fans,

We @ The NHRDA are currently working on a "Winners Recognition Page" for our racers who have placed and won at our events. We currently have a rotating file showing the happy racers with their checks/trophies after succeeding in battle.

We are also working on a "Records Page" to pay respect to those who have set records within the NHRDA. We know when a National Record is set that it is a well earned accomplishment- that will be recognized by the NHRDA, and we will prominently display these records for the racers to bask in their glory.

We currently have a "Points Leaders Page" that is divided by each of the 5 National Divisions spread out across the U.S.A. and Canada.

We currently have 24 events throughout the 5 National Divisions and hope to see many of you attend our events.

From all of us at The NHRDA, good luck in the 2008 season- it's gonna be a wild ride.

SOUNDS GREAT ,
The NHRDA is working hard to take care of its racers

One cool thing I noticed that NHRDA did - they made last year's season champion jackets out of SFI-rated fire jackets! Since many tracks interpret the NHRA rules as requiring a fire jacket if you have a non-OEM turbo, this seems like a great idea. Now I just have to win me one of them!

Any idea when you'll have the results from this past weekend's Div 1 race posted?

Thanks,
Michael Pliska

The cool part is it will have history so it will show the top five or so ........ That way its not just the top guy that gets all the glory but it will show those that have come before them.............

Records? You mean we have those around here? Does last year count?

How are you going to arrange the classes in which records will be made?

12 valve
24 valve
CR
or

pro 1
pro 2
pro street
pro mod

?????

Thanks

Pro Street and Pro Mod and it must be at a 1/4 mile points race. We are following NHRA rules on record setting, must be 2 runs at the same event within 1% to count etc etc. It's all covered on page 48 of the 2008 NHRA rule book.

this is a real stand up no bs org.cant wait to get going and i know my teammate\brother is excited as well

Tree Smasher- thanks for volunteering to help out at the Div. 5 NHRDA events. I am pleased with the rock solid, dependable team we are putting together in Division 5.

OK so if we make a 8.90 and a 8.00 back to back which one will count as the record? or will this not be counted at all because it is outside of the 1%?

Page 48 of the 2008 NHRA Rule book spells it all out .... If you can not back it with in 1 % but you have 2 runs that are quicker than the current record the fast one may be used to back up the slower.

So in your example as the rule book states, you can use the 8.0 to back up the 8.9 as the record.

I can NOT stress enough everyone on how important it is to spend the $14.00 to get a rule book. When your at a track and an official walks up to you and says that you didn't meet some rule, "I didn't know that" is not going to cut it.
