This is a question about a headlight.

Nat,
I too havce been tool-throwing mad over the damn headlights. They are the spawn of satan.

Take the 3 bolt out and pull the housing out enough. Alot less swearing.

Just make sure that if you let your friends do this you make sure they put all the bolts back in. Found that out after I got home from my buddy's place yesterday and saw my light dangling by the wires.

Hey I've got some nice, faded yellow headlights on my '95. (Recognize it?) Can someone fill me in on the sport headlight upgrade? I can't see! I read a bunch about it once on one of the forums and now don't remember where.

:bang

Thanks!

I must be special cause I never had a problem changing them. Did lots of them since we had about 15 2nd gen Dodge CTDs where I used to work.

I just came here to say that if you think the regular ones are bad, try the sport headlights.

No, I won't help someone with the sport headlights ever again. Pay dodge to do it.

That said, I've found that it is a lot easier to start the top, then push down to seat the o-ring, then turn.

I've never had a hard time with bulbs, but my stock lights are faded and yellowed and I can't see. Plus they're prolly aimed at the sky since I drive around with my airbags deflated all the time.

I messed with mine for over an hour. Got pissed and jammed it in the hole(here we go) and put some duct tape on it. Seems to get the job done. I'm considering puting some KC lights on the grille guard and saying to hell with the headlights....

I put some of those Silverstars on an 01 1500 and my 98 2500 at the same time. I didn't even take me 15 mins between the 2 trucks.

If you put a little bit of Sil Glide on the O ring it makes this alot easier. You can buy at Napa.

Mine weren't bad. Passenger side went in really easily and the driver side kicked my butt. Now that I know how to work my hands to get to the right angle my last change was a piece of cake.

I wonder if there's any way to convert dodge lights to have a design similar to gm's lights. (For those of you who don't know, all you have to do for gm is pull two pins and the light pops right out)

I have no problems changing out bulbs or the housings now. 1 hours the first time. Takes 15mins now. It is a poor design.
