Don't laugh too hard guys, we all have to start somewhere. Besides how are we supposed to support our sport if we have a bunch of a-holes laughing at everyone trying to make power. There's enough a-holes in the world don't you think. Why don't you pick up the keyboard and try to educate someone.

i agree.... at one time i wanted all the smoke i could get! and i didnt know squat about our trucks. now through a lot of reading and researching i have a pretty fair knowledge.

So what's the biggest problem with the hot pipe?

The goofy bend?
The length?
The ugliness?

I'd only laugh at something if somebody made it worse than it was to begin with, I don't see why this set-up wouldn't be effective and one large external wastegate short of being close-to-perfect.

Ya and sometimes the hotpipe can't be short on your carbon copy trucks!

LOL

That is the right way to make a hot-pipe. It is stainless correct? As you said - our trucks are "carbon copy" so there is really no need for this guy on CF to do what he is doing. Your project is definitely a one-off setup so that probably is the best way to go about it. His aluminized pipe should do a good job at heating up that cowl panel that it is nearly touching and also hurt the spool of his primary. Hopefully he will wrap it.

I dont think it is that bad....... the kid is 17/ 18 yrs old!!!

Yeah its some ugly welds.... but i have to give it to him...... he could have been inside watching MTV.

And has $600 total into it.

The kid is 20. I am too, and my twins look mucho bettero. I built my set as well. And MTV aint that bad:hehe: Its not the best looking setup I have seen, but it looks functional and seems like it would work fine. I give him props for mounting them like he did, it is different. I have always liked the "staggered" look.

Is that where all the retards that show up over here come from? LMFAO Endless fabrication failures on that site.

regardless of age, a job worth doing is worth doing right. some people take pride in there work, and some people just throw things together no matter what it looks like.

Agreed, I am not a fabricator by trade and noone taught me, I researched on the internet for a few months about anything and everything related to twins before I built my own. Noone ever taught me how to weld I just picked up a cheap welder a few years ago and started playing with scrap metal and figuring things out. I do have pride in my work and take my time to get the job right.

Not to bash the guy in the thread too hard but jeez a little research goes along way, I cant even believe he would cut 2 45* angles on the pipe and weld them together like that. Was there even a support bracket for his LP turbo? I didnt see it.

Here is the first set of twins, header, and valve cover I ever made, I think they turned out decent for a first try.

I got a guy that wants to build him a set of triples... two A5ks into a Phat Bastard. lol Hes also "building" a motor for his Ford/Cummins conversion and is going to DD it with a Stupid pump. LOL

this should be hysterical
especially considering 2 a5ks and a pb flow about the same

Im 21 and i just cant get over the fab work im sorry. Good job and ill give him credit for actually building them but man i wouldnt run anything of mine with duct tape haha.

HRDROKN, your twins piping looks reallt good man i cant wait to build mine i havnt figured out how im putting stuff.

i mean ya gotta give it too him for atleast trying. he should have spent a little more time planning it out and gathering good parts. instead of just throwing it together with whatever he had laying around. good... he has compound chargers for $600.. id rather spend more money and time and have a better, cleaner, more thought out set that looks and functions better.
