My brother had a 78 chevy truck & It had the tilt frontend on it. [front clip tilts forward like a big rig] I was thinking of possibly doing this to my truck so that it would be easy to work on the engine. I would have to figure out some things & It would take alot of time, but I'm considering it. Ever see a Dodge with the tilt front end?

that would be pretty interesting to see only issue you have is the inner fenders the are spot welded to the cab and bolted to the frame up under the intercooler

That would be awesome. It would definitely stand out in the crowd. The only trucks I've seen it on are 70's model fords.

that's cause the fenders on them were solid and could be use like that the fenders now a days are thinner they would have to be braced

The way my brothers truck was done, was the front fender was cut near the door. There was a rubber weatherstrip to seal the fender when closed. Then a rubber latch would lock it in place, just like the big rigs.

well get to it i want to see if done by TS. come on chop chop! lol

i think i would look a lot cleaner if you were able to figure out a way to flip up the entire fender and not have to cut it.

TS is in bowling green kentucky and its a good time i won't miss it unless i'm on my death bed

You won't see me there, ever! Little far for me.:hehe: Hey Skynyrd, you've torn some of these trucks apart right? Can you tell me something? The weatherstrip that goes around the windshield, can it be removed without removing the glass?

I'm just kicking the idea around, not sure If I want to get that involved in this project or not. I'm missing alot of precious time with my family.

Thanks man. I just don't want to break anything & it looks like it can just pop out, but I'm skeered.
