Tilt frontend, anyone ever do this mod?

my head already cracked the glass in mine so i'm not worried about breaking it. butyeah it should be removable without taking the glass out

Better think about all you will need to change to make this deal fly...

You will have to make radiator supports and a support system for the charge air cooler as they are all integrated with the fenders and inner fender-wells.You will have to move ALL the electronics and wiring harnesses and relocate the batteries. You will also have to relocate the a/c lines and redo the way they are run out to the condenser.Headlights and turn signals will need another ground run to them to ensure they light. The front bumper mounts will have to be redesigned to allow for the tilt and the clearance to do it.

I have seen it done with drag cars, alcohol pullers and some street rods. Its not a easy project and not a project that should be done in haste.I have never seen a Dodge Ram done with a tilt........Andy

P.S-...Thinking about it the only Dodge ram I have ever seen with a Tilt front was George Cobb's Lil Red Express Cummins Pro-Street truck.

I know there is alot to consider & it would be a pain, but wouldn't it be cool? I have alot of work to do just getting the truck painted. I'm just tossing this idea around. The intercooler, rad & condensor will need to be mounted on a fixed support for sure. I would mount the batteries on the passenger side, similar location of the fuel tank. I was thinking of making them mount inside of a box which can raise/lower for access, possibly piano hinged with a latch or something. I was also considering mounting them under the rear seat [Optima batteries].

Nope it wouldn't.....
However...
Find a way to make the entire cab tilt and street drive it,now that would be cool.

the weatherstrip will come out without removing the glass. new can also be installed with the glass in. new windshield weatherstripping is onlye 40 ish bucks from dodge iirc.
