IMO, I think high timing at lower rpms (under a load) is where it's the hardest on the internals. I don't think running high timing at 4500 rpm is any harder than modest timing at 2000 rpm.
@ 30* mine was barely out of the bowl w/ standard Mach7's and .093" lines & tubes
30* here Getting ready to try 35* and another click on the CDS 5k springs
This is with 6x18 custom injectors massaged for higher timing
12 valve sealing washers, 6x15 scheid injectors set to 4500, .093 lines and tubes, 30* and working okay but stuck with the 5 speed and 3.55 gears :doh:
