Timing keeps slipping!!

The best way I've found is to take a 3/4" lock washer ream it out to just barely fit the shaft, and torque to 155-165.
 
Brake clean the shaft and pump hub, toss the cummins nut and washer in the trash because that's what they are, find yourself a M20x1.5 GR10.9 nut at the hardware store and put a nice amount of blue thread locker on the shaft threads, torque nut to 180 ft-lb. Guaranteed to permanently fix pump gear slip, unless pump shaft and/or gear hub have damage.
 
I forgot to update this after I got the new gear & lock washer installed. It's holding strong now torqued up to yals specs! There was nuthing wrong with the old gear probably could have scuffed the inside of it with emory cloth and made it hold but was tired of messing with it. Thanks everyone for all the info
