Last season I pulled 8 or 9 times with my truck at the time I was putting down a meer 325whp and was running 395/70/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's to say the least they have a flimsy side wall...C load rateingand had my truck hoping a bit i eventually got it pretty dialed in with some trac bars and airing the tires down but...here is my problem this season the truck is going to have over twice the power and i dont think the big 38 inch M/T's would be the best...What would you all suggest for a good tire? Im guessing some type of 35inch A/T to pull with? Thanks in advance Tyler:thankyou2:

Most places have a 35" max diameter for tires. Big aggressive tires typically just break parts. STS's seem to be the latest craze, but most people will conclude they have short street life.

i plan on getting these tires strictly for pulling and at the track so street life aint important....

If I remember correctly a lot of people use BFG AT's, that's what I have on my truck. They're 33's. Have done well by me this last season.

wouldnt be a problem to go with 35's would it? 33's would look silly iwth my 8inch lift haha:hehe: ive had some 35x12.5's on it and it doesnt look to horrible deffently looks best with teh 38x15.5's:rockwoot:

what kind of gears do you have? and what kind of transmission? have you ever thought about taking the lift off?

Mickey Thompson Baja Claws i see a ton of. Think alot of people have started running Pro Comp Xterrains. Probably a little cheaper than Mickeys. Ive got Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's. Good lookin tire and think it will do ok pulling!

running 3.73's so its not going to be a problem droping to a smaller tire....have a BTS tranny but im debating taking off the lift or at least going down to a smaller one but i like have a giant high hp truck! nothing like a 8klb land monster taking down some ****stangs and cameros*nx*

Natalie runs a 35, and I'm sure many others do also, but it's true that the lift won't really help you much lol.

yeah i kno the lift aint helping much just looks big and mean:hehe: but still debating going down to a 4inch lift and 35's

Id go to 33's. I have pulled with both 33's and 35's and noticed a pretty big difference. Get alot more wheel speed with the 33's. Both were BFG MT and seemed to do ok for the few pulls I was at. Id go with 33's tho. No one cares if it looks a little goofy as long as your winning!!

33's or 35's will work id run the sts tires they don't dig in and are much less likely to break stuff. but in my opinion if you are making enough power and your deivetrain can take it you cant beat super swamper boggers. if they are set up correctly.

The aggressive tires will dig and throw dirt in front of the sled. A good AT is hard to beat. If you have a really muddy track you want something that will clean the tread(ie, the grooves are big enough that the mud will get slung out)
Lots of it depends on track type. Boggers bounce!

The STS are all I see people run around me. I want a set. Just not in the budget right now. And IMO unless you have a LOT of power, I wouldnt run the 35's.

Just my experience and$.02

well i should be making around 550-600whp on fuel only and then i have a dual stage nitrous on top of that....

i ran boggers for couple pulls and the rubber bends to much. if u find some worn down set of tires . that would be your best bet . wheel speed and little traction will go a long way

35 is still a lot of tire to run. But i guess if you pulled with 38's it should be ok.
But like codyn said "wheel speed and traction go a long way"

You should really loose the lift. It puts the driveline at bad angles, which is a disaster for ujoints.
