This is it in the running form, took a lot of work and way too much time in between. It was remarkable how close the Izuzu was to the 22re in physical size. We had a local machinist make an adapter plate. The motor mounts took only slight modification and the Toyota flywheel actually bolted to the Izuzu with no modification. The biggest problem we ran into was the oil pan. The stock pan hit the diff. on the front axle, so it was either solid axle conversion or custom pan. We ended up making a custom pan that worked with the Toyota front.
On the whole turned into a pretty sweet project, finally got it running last week. Lacks the top end of the 22re, no RPM's kills it, but has more torque than the 22re now. We think it should get low to mid 30's, gonna be a great DD for my cousin.
