Traction bars & blocks, pics

Doesn't matter how it looks,..as long as it works,..that's all that matters.....nice work man!
 
what size of bolts did you run threw the frame i am wanting to go with 3/8 or 7/16 in a triangle pattern
i can go half but i'm going to have to get a bigger drill

The bolts attaching the front traction bar mounts are 5/8" & 4 will be installed [only 2 in pic] New U-bolts were installed tonight also for rear mount. The DOM tubing is 2"x" I.D. & threaded to accept the heim joints.

Those look good, i am getting ready to start make my own, i have sum square stock i was going to use anyone ever try that?

O sch 80 pipe?? that what my work has will it work the have sch 40 also

80 is stronger but what should i go with
 
If you are going to use pipe and not DOM use 1.5" SCH 80 it has a 1.5 I.D. you should be able to find some tube inserts that will fit or spin down some tractor links.

80 would be better, but quite a few guys told me 80 will still bend. I would keep them at 6' long, any longer & they'll be more prone to bending.

they will be around 5' long so i think i should be good to go
 
I think how long they are is personal prefrence. I have seen some mean trucks with short bars. I dont think it has anything to do with how long the bars are, but more of how parallel to the ground they are.
