Well with some associations especially around Indiana talkin about full blankets can we start a list of where to check into getting them?

daves diesel is in talks with diest and stroud both getting them made

nope got send templates in for quotes and such, pull-n-power and itpa are both working together, this year trans blankets is all is needed
itpa needs blanket regaurdless of rpm
pnp is over 4500

I sent Stroud a template for the ZF6 a few years ago and they wouldn't do them. The Diest I got is a straight cut. It works but doesn't fit that great.

stroud seemed eager this time, but diest is too these will be block to tail shaft blankets

sp PNP over 4500 and ITPA regardless we need one? what about just the bellhousing blankets, or can we run bare this season so to speak?

yes for pnp over 4500 you would be fine with trans blanket
next year you will need full blankets for both

I am lost here, Did something happen that is resulting in this change? In NADM you can run a Mod truck with just a clutch can is there something different going on in Indiana that makes trucks less safe?

x2 here. I just bought my 400$ bellhousing blanket, havent even been to a pull yet and now we are going to need one that is over 600$. Hell lets just blanket the whole truck or better yet, not allow any spectators so we wont have to worry about anybody getting hurt.LOL

Open driveline is looking better and better each day.
I am getting ready to order a bell housing blanket. I really don't want to have to buy it twice. I am sure we are a year or two behind on rules though.

LOL A full blanket is going to be $600+.

Yes a full blanket is going to cost $600+ untill stroud gets a cookie cutter templet. They wanted $789 last year for a 48re IIRC. It may be less for the standard.

All these safety rules in street classes and you can still pull on a stock class III hitch. :hehe:

I don't understand all the flak about trying to keep driver's and fan's safe.
We will spend untold amount's to go further but complain about doing it as safe as possible I DON'T GET IT!!!!!!

never met an insurance company yet who would specify what you need - that would make them liable - specially if an incident happened, and there were better options out there - court rooms be a wonderfull thing

on the other hand I have heard more than a few associations use "the insurance says" as an excuse to make certian things happen
