Tranny cooler delete

Yes but when the coolant is hotter than the fluid it is not cooling. With the heat exchanger still in my temps have not gone above 150

I took mine out to minimize the risk of running coolant instead of atf in my new tranny. not sure it was a good idea though, since its been deleted it definitely runs alot warmer especially in traffic. locked up is no problem but traffic and just driving around town is a killer especially in the summer. I put a dearle cooler and fan up front but even that doesnt seem to help much. might have to start looking into a bigger cooler.
 
I had two derale coolers with fans wired to a switch mounted under the bed where the spare tire was. Never got hot in traffic with a tight converter and very rarely had to turn the fans on.
