Lately I have been having intermittent issues with my transmission. Sometimes when I come to a stop the trans will stay in D instead of downshifting to 1st. If I manually shift to 2nd it will start in 2nd, but if I shift to 1st it feels like a trans brake and doesn't want to move. I built this trans years ago from all DTT parts. It probably has close to 100K on it. It has been a few years since I adjusted the bands, but don't remember the specs for the band adjustment. Seems to me what they recommended was a little off from factory specs.
