trans temp sender location

where is the best place to install my trans sender?
front hot line or pan?
if in the line what do i need to do it?

The front line is the best because it is the most accurate and you see heat the quickest, the acu-temp sold through genos is an awsome part and makes this instalation super easy, you dont have to take anything apart. i have one on my truck and they are awsome

say's it's for 03-07 models. why?

Becaust that one's only for 48RE transmissions. I don't think that will work, I'm guessing because the line that it clamps to is a different diameter?

thats what it says but they will work on all the dodge automatics, 47's and 48's i have one on my 97 and it is sweet, if your truck has the older painted lines than just clean off the paint where you clamp it and it is awsome.

Cool! I figured wrong then. That seems like the easiest way to get a hot line reading.
