transfer case leak

I have a one piece tailhousing, and I have replaced the seal twice and ut keeps doin it..... there is a little movement in the yoke if i wiggle it

My T-case is leaking and has been for a while, it leaves a drop or 2 when parked, but if you look up in there it slings all over! I have replaced the seal twice and the yoke has a little movement......

is that the bushing? could it cause i vibration? how bad is it to change? I have never broke into a t-case my self

Removing the tailshaft housing is easy. The bushing is not terrible to do. Putting the housing back is a b*tch. There is a snap ring on that holds the housing in place on the shaft, and there is no access for snap-ring pliers due to the cab floor. My buddy and I wedged a crowsfoot in the top of the housing to keep the ring separated to install - that worked like a charm.

is that snap ring all that I have to worry about?

I guess im not sure what bushing your talking about. The only thing inside a one piece tailhousing is a bearing the mainshaft rides on and is held in place by a snap ring.

there should be a bushing right inside the tcase that rides on the outside of the yoke to keep it from moving much but allow it to flex if necessary

how tough is it to replace the seal? mine is making a mess out of the bottom of my truck. thanks
