Where are you guys getting the six trap blankets at????? And what do they cost??? Its for a 47re

I think it was around $150 or so. Mine isn't 6 straps, I think it has just two, covers the tranny. It really doesn't cover the convertor the best, I was primarily concerned with covering the planetaries. You can try HTS, but the blankets were shipped from A&A. It is just a rectangular blanket.

Fully automatic transmissions must have S.F.I. approved safety blankets covering the body of the transmission. All fully automatic transmissions must have a 6-strap safety blanket in place by July 25th 2007.

41. All vehicles must be equipped with a blanket-type shield. It must be appropriately labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and it must extend from the rear of the block to the front of tail-housing with a minimum six inch overlap where it is fastened.

Who's Rule is that? We had Stroud Safety make us on a few years back. Just call and tell them how big and it was here a few days later. It was pricey.

Texas truck and tractor pullers association

I really dont understand which one they are wanting the diesel trucks to have????????? They had said they were not going to change rules and none of this was in them. So i decieded to finish my truck and well they through this in there. Pisses me off. Its like they are trying to piss people off so they can get rid of the class

front of tail-housing

So are they reffering to the engine side of the overdrive section???? If so thats not a very long blanket and a regular short 3 strap blanket would work correct???

That is how I read it, the ones we have would cover the area near the engine if need be. It passed ITPA, and ITPA has a good set of safety rules.

Well the ones i have beenlooking at online have three straps. TO heck with it ill just get one of them if they say something about it ill buy another one and just over lap them. That way there will be 6 straps

pure diesel power lists one for the 47re on their site...not sure if its the full tranny or just a bell housing blanket tho

yep the tttpa say's even us standard guys got to have a full blanket, i just bought one the other day before they changed the rule, so i am also looking for one for a nv4500, and how are ya rigging up your fuel shut off valve.

They can kiss my ass on a fuel shut off valve. I will not shut the fuel off to a $2000 plus dollar injector pump. I thought you could have either a fuel or air shut off

I am so close to throwing my hands up on all this bull**** they keep throwing in. Whats next axle schields, motor schields, 6 point saftey belt.

For a class that is suppose to be street legal this is bull chit. I really thing the ok guys with the tractors and slow crap just want the diesel part of it all gone. They should have just made a 2.6 street class. And if it did good this year add another one next year. Instead of throwing chit together like they do every year and only end up with 3 or 4 trucks pulling.

i think you hit the nail on the head, seems one of the past leaders is on the board fot the tttpa, as long as he doesnt get any competition he will win again, i dont care what it cost i am going to run the crap out of my truck in deleon this august. alot of people have been complaing about this very issue.

Put the air shut off on. Can't the fuel shut off be operated from the truck? Who says you have to ever use it.

Well i know who you are talking about and for the last 3 years i have been right behind him a foot or so. And this year i know damn good and well i am making more power. It just pisses me off evertime they change rules. If i had any sense i would just get it all together and go to ever pull. he is not unbeatable for damn sure.

now thats the attitude to have, are you going to stephenville this weekend, and does anyone know if it is a tttpa sanctioned pull
