Transmission Blanket!!!!

The pull this weekend is not a TTTPA pull. they will not let you run if you dont have a break away kill fuel or air. just get a trailor brake switch from TSC and a relay and wire it into your ecm fuse, it will kill the pump not the fuel supply, and the odds of it ever getting used are nill. in the 4x4 diesel section of the rules in there rule book it says sfi spec 4.1 must extend from rear of block to front of bellhousing with 6" overlap this tells me that a bellhousing blanket should work,,,,but chupp said that it has to cover the pan also. Im thinking that as long as you make an effert it will be ok. If you want to spend about $500 Dr. P sells a compleat blanket (looks like a small sleeping bag).

And u need to have axle bolt sheilds or at least center caps on the rear axle, along with u joint sheilds if you dont already have them...

I ran the first pull in priddy and chupp isnt the only one you need to worry about, Preston has got his dmax running pretty good and with 1200lbs on the front of his truck and an e locker in the front axle his truck is a tough one to beat he got me by a foot or two both nights. I was under weight by about 500lbs so well see what happens next pull.

Put the air shut off on. Can't the fuel shut off be operated from the truck? Who says you have to ever use it.

I don't know about pulling but drag racing you have to have fuel and air kills in the cab and on the rear of the truck and they must be operational and they made us prove they were operational.

I feel your pain with the TTTPA, and your frustrations are exactly why I didn't take my truck to a single pull last year. If you go to the HWH web site you see can see the dates and locations of the 2009 pulls. The good news is only a handful are TTTPA pulls so you can still go out and have a good time without all the hassle.

I'll have my truck back pulling by this summer, but I'm building it for they way I want....to not fit into their crazy class. In other words, it will have twins, water injection, and a hood stack!

I am so close to throwing my hands up on all this bull**** they keep throwing in. Whats next axle schields, motor schields, 6 point saftey belt.

For a class that is suppose to be street legal this is bull chit. I really thing the ok guys with the tractors and slow crap just want the diesel part of it all gone. They should have just made a 2.6 street class. And if it did good this year add another one next year. Instead of throwing chit together like they do every year and only end up with 3 or 4 trucks pulling.

If you want to have any chance to win your money back you need to pull with us. The more that pull the more money there is to win!

They pay out to 7th place so you have a good shot a getting your entry fee back, and if your truck can infact finish up there with Chupp then you should be able to win $100+ every time out.

last year i pulled at all of the pulls, but Im at the point where if im going to drive 1-2hrs to a pull and possibly break my truck im not going to do it for free.

That is what i am talking about. I will have my billet output shaft back in this week and my truck will be ready to go. Gotta love the hood stacks.

It will be interesting to see how the other organizations show... (There will be two NADM hooks this yr. ) But this is only TTTPA's second yr, and they are going through the learning curves of some of the classes. If you are going to run for points, you probably have to make all of the hooks.. Lynn makes most of the hooks.
The DMax is running good.. If he get some more RPMS he's going to be tuff... I talked to Lenny on Sat, and he broke the axle house on Friday night in West.

If you want a run what you brung class, and any of the HWH hooks, they will usually let you hook... set some basic rules.. Hitch hieght and weight, bring all you got... throw some $$ in a pot.. But that is where the TTTPA guys have the advantage.. they have the pay out...

Now that right there is bull crap same old **** different day. Sounds like someone forgot to hit the breaks.

Hey guys if you don't find good source let me know, one of my buddy builds racing diapers for a living and said that if I can get 10 guys together that he would build them for me. He is building the engine diaper for around $240 and I would say that the transmission blanket would be similar or less. Even if we get 7 or 8 guys I would stock the others. Let me know.

Back off subject.. the pull for this Sat in Stephenville has been cancelled.. They have rescheduled for Sept...
