what kinda triple disc are u guys runnin also what kinda mods as well as ur normall pullin gear and how does it drive on the street no franchise wars just facts.

My brother in his copper truck runs a Kenny's weighted triple disc and it isn't to bad on the street but I wouldn't want to drive it everyday.

Does it have a bronze inlay, what type of clutch material, why would it not be good to drive it on the street

SBC triple with a 3250 cover. had it for 3 years of pulling, is quieter then a DD and shifts as fast as a DD and pedal effort is less then stock. Awesome clutch IMO.

Does urs have a bronze inlay and is it ceramic or feramic and what type of pressure plate does it have finger or diaphram

we run a kenny tripple.

it has a weighted pressure plate and iron disk with a bronze inlay flywheel.
would not recomend it for everyday driving however he makes a triple without the weighted pressure plate.
we had 22 hooks on it when we took it out to shim it, the discs were only wore .004 and it didnt even require shiming. weve had zero clutch issues this year, its the best one thats been in the truck, its a decent price and if you ever have any issues kenny will take care of you

Bronze inlay, 3250 plate load diaphram ceramic disc. I will probably spring for the feramic next time but the ceramic has been doing me fine.

Call peter or mansel at south bend and talk to them.. they will steer you in the right direction... You need to decide if you want to drive this thing too..

if you still want to drive it, i say you should get a SBC 3250 or a 3600 triple w/ 12 FB per side of disc with a Bronze inlay flywheel.

if you don't want to drive it too much then get a SBC 4200 triple w/ 12 FB per side of disc with a Bronze inlay flywheel.

BTW south bends pressure plates aren't weighted.. And if you ever have a problem with it, then peter will help you out, no questions asked..

South bend triple disc is 3500 to 500 off it I already have a south bend and 500 off if I give them my dual disc. That's still 2500 in a clutch

you get what you pay for....

I have 15 hooks, 10 boosted launches, and 40,000 miles on my SBC DD 3850 12 Ceramic buttons per side of disk with bronze inlay flywheel... ZERO issues..

what are your engagement issues? my newer double disk SBC clutch doesnt engage until its almost all the way up.

You are better off calling Kenny he has a new triple disc out that is not weighted and shifts smooth and fast, was designed for drag racers, but will handle being hooked to the sled, awesome for street driving.

I think you are wasting your time by calling peter, and in the end if you go with a southbend you will proably be dissapointed.

thats the clutch i have been eyein already taked to peter 2750 for triple and my old clutch the only thing that concerns me about kennys is no bronze inlay he said he has not found one yet to fit 1800 for his clutch

WOW $1000 dollar difference!

Ther is a CR in the low 11's running this clutch, matter a fact kenny design this clutch for him, i cant remember his name, smokincummins know.

well i did a 4l pull leaving at 4k with 354 gears this weekend, the truck had a miss in it but i still made a full pull, not enough to win i need more power but it didnt seem to phase the clutch at all, we will try to get some video's up tonight

How does it drive on the street dan and does urs have a inlay in the flywheel? Glad to hear good news lol

yep its got a inlay in the flywheel but i dont think i would want a weighted clutch for street driving.
