truck is hard to start...sometimes!

When my truck sits, sometimes overnight sometimes while I'm at work, I try to crank it and it turns over about 15 before it finally fires off. Then sometimes I jump in it and starts like it should. I've tried to start after it's been plugged in and I've tried to start it after not being plugged in just to see if that made a differance. It did'nt! Then the other day I went to get in it and I had fuel leaking down from the top of my fuel tank. I only had a 1/4 tank of fuel and I was sitting on level ground. If anyone has any ideas I would sure appreciate it. My truck is a 2002 that is stock except for a set of rv275 injectors I put in over a year ago. Thanks for the help!!! John
 
Sounds like you are either getting air in the system somewhere or the VP is taking a poo.
 
or else your lift pump is about out. you can get them pressure checked at a local cummins shop. unless you have a remote fuel pressure gauge. there is a fitting on the fuel inlet of the pump.
