I just had injector nozzles put in by a professional who I trust very much that he totally knows what he is doing so I really don't think there is any error on his part so try to start looking at other possibilitys. not that I am a mechanic but I watched him pressure test them for leaks @ 4000psi and then he pop tested them 5 popped rite @ 4500 and one @ 4400 the truck runs strong with no stumble at all but at idle it sounds like a v8 with a cam and some times it will stall when you put it in to gear.

try some bigger crossover tubes and if that doesn't cure it then add the bigger lines---chris

Crossover tubes and lines are gonna hurt it. Not help it. VP's can't push enough fuel to keep the bigger lines and tubes full under heavy throttle or idle. My 200hp injectors are smoother than my stockers were and I'm running stock 161k mile old lines and tubes. I'd say that there is something else wrong cause jammer 3's shouldn't cause the truck to stumble unless they ain't popping right. I have a good friend of mine that installed just jammer 3 nozzles and never had them pop tested or nothing and they might make a hiccup once in a blue moon.

Maybe the connector tubes are not seated correctly and its not getting all the fuel to the injector. Im not to sure that is usually a problem with the larger injectors tubes and lines

bgbldodge---you are wrong, but maybe not totally wrong---huh you say---well sometimes when you install big injectors a cure for lopey idle and/or stalling can be had by changing the crossovers to larger ones and then if that doens't cure it then adding the bigger injector lines has in some instances----in fact it worked for me----the same can be said by installing big crossovers and/or big injector lines and if you have a lopey idle or stalling then if you put in bigger injectors the lope and stalling can go away----in fact this happened to me----so I'm not just spouting off---but that might not be the issue in this case, but it can and has helped if all is ok with the injectors and crossovers----chris

You would be the only one I know of that has had those cure issues. Normally they cause more than they solve. But jammer 3's are not anywhere remotely near large enough to cause something like that. I went to install a set of new 200hp in my truck and it wouldn't idle right. A couple of them weren't popping. Sent them back and had them checked and they all worked fine. Turns out my injection pump was to weak to pop 6 brand new injectors. It popped the old one's just fine but it doesn't have the strength on the new ones. That might be this guy's problem.

I only bought nozzles. I used the old injector bodies and my vp is 11 months and 30k miles old but I am not ruling the vp out yet It has all ways idled a little funny to me

I also noticed @ 1800-2000 rpm's if I am barely on the peddle like going down a hill but not totally off the peddle buy not accelerating it has a odd noise may be like a slight miss. but no other problems

where does he say it's jammer 3's--I don't see it anywhere--but regardless, if they are jammer 3's then they shouldn't be causing this---putting nozzles on injectors isn't a fail safe thing---I wouldn't do it---you have one injector not popping off like the others, although very close----any way I would agree it could be the VP---you might want to check your overflow valve on the VP if it's old----

bgbldodge---I'm not the only one that my experience has helped--you just don't hear of all of them via the sites or just this site----I'm not saying it's the cure all, but it has fixed some---chris

first off I am not a mechanic so I will not say that this would not work but I

don't think that this should be my first plan of attack. my thoughts are to

purchase new stock Bosch injectors for $312 and swop the nozzles or buy a

new set of DDP's (110hp) for $699 and sell my jammer3 nozzles does any one

think I should start some were else first

I was considering the jammer 3's at one time, but went with the DPP 110's instead. Cost me alittle more money especially when you keep your stock injectors instead of turning them in, but in the long run im glad I bought the DPP.

My 9 month old VP wouldn't pop the injectors and a year old VP that had dead pedaled the owner gained me 45hp on the dyno. These vp's are a pain.

csutton7, it says jammer 3's in his signature.

well since you didn't state what you added I had to generalize to what has worked in some cases---

now that I know that they are only 3's then something is wrong with the injectors if the truck ran fine before---you're not the first to have this happen with nozzle replacement---I personally wouldn't go the nozzle route, but that's my opinion---

hope you get it figured out---

I didn't check the sig------

hey thanks for the responses I'll try the ddp110's and get back with a update.
look for jammer3 nozzles with less than 100 miles on them in the classifieds soon

maybe a leaky line. might need some new orings on the inj or the cross tubes.

update. I installed DDP 110 injectors and the problem is solved the truck runs smooth.
I guess the old injectors didn't pop close enough together for the bigger nozzles.
live and learn.
