Truck tries to stall at idle

A friend of mine has a 04.5 cummins that wants to stall at idle. It will start and run fine for 10-20 sec at idle then break up and act like it wants to stall out then it picks up and revs up and idles fine. it will continue to do this at idle over and over but drives fine down the road only at a idle. idk wat it is thought it was lift pump so we installed air dog 150 and still does it. There is no check engine light or codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

my truck is starting to do the same thing.... Thought it was my small fuel leak from oring on injector tube but that didn't fix it.... I'm kinda stumped too...

i took off the fca and cleaned it runs perfect now
