Truck with 400,000 miles, tell me what u think?

What do u think is a reasonable price? They are askin 9900. What problems woul dI have with a CR, im not familiar with the CR just the 12v
 
Looks to be in pretty good shape and obviously the truck has all highway miles and has probably lived an easy life. I would definetly go check it out and give it a thorough rundown of all the problem areas these 3rd gens have.
 
for that kind of money you could put injectors in it and a new 85% better flow cp3 from industrail. i'd check tranny fluid to see if its burnt smelling etc. but it a good lookin truck
 
Probably been hooked to a trailer for those miles.

Heck it will be for sale on compD in several months anyway! LOL
 
haah ACTUALLY zstroken I have been buying fixing and selling these vehicles during college to survive as well as save for a nice everyday driver, thank you very much

i dont think you are gonna make a killin on that one in this economy...

too many lower mile trucks around

someone worked that thing half to death

think about it - did they ever shut if off after it left the dealership 5 or 6 yrs ago?

the only plus would be that you know it had a trailer hooked to it most of those miles. no one drives that much for fun. these motors like to be loaded a little...about like robert downey jr
 
isn't there something wiht the 03-04's dropping valves or valve seats along with not so hot injectors

Also its a fleet truck so you know any joe blow drove it for what ever company owned it but at least a company usually keeps up on matinance at a good clip
 
that thing has had to have a new paint job no way its still that clean and the interior looks to be in great shape. The bumper is still new looking no dents or anything that i can see whats up. I've seen trucks like that before with loads of miles and the rest of the truck would look about the same remember normal tear downs is right there or before does it have a new motor or tranny, i would think so with those miles and to be on the road pulling a trailer its entire whole life
 
A guy at work just picked up an 07 dually with 350k for 10k. Offer him 8500
 
The chrome rocker panels would be my worry. No telling what is under them. But I agree offer them 5k and see what they say.
