tryn to figure out wats wrong with my truck

My truck did that when my lift pump went out. Just don't keep crankin it if it died on you- thats for sure. You can flow test it or listen for a sick lifter. Just undo the little banjo bolt on the top of the carter (unless you already put an aftermarket on). Have a fuel pressure gauge? Also- if yours is after 99' (i believe) you should be able to do the ignition, key on three times trick and pull up a code. Mine won't- I have obd2 but it doesn't flash codes up on the dash in my year.
