I'll be installing a drive pressure gauge soon. What length of tubing are you guys using for the coil?? I've seen some guys say 10' and some guys say 6', I think someone even mentioned 2', although I think that would be a little short.
The longer the better?? Just wonderin what length you guys are using.
For the guys that are using a soot filter......Where are you finding them??

I ran it to the firewall on the driver's side.

I just use copper for the hardline. nylon through the firewall to the gauge

10' of 1/4" od line. I'm thinking the larger line is better for reading purposes and to avoid cloggage. I also placed some aluminum screen from a screen door application in the 1/4" to 1/8" MIP coupling used to get the signal from the copper line to the 1/8" nylon line to the gauge. I used two layers of that screen. I have enough screen to change it 1989 times if it clogs lol. They sell it in rolls.

The screen wire is a good idea, never thought of that.
I seen someone that they used steel wool stuffed inside of a fitting, I was thinkin that might be to dense of a material though and could dampen the reading, IDK.

Put a filter inline to the gauge...

We use 304SS tubing for longevity - copper & aluminum work harden too easily on a CTD. Window screen is far too coarse to filter soot - even the soot filters we use allow carbon to pass beyond the condensate coil. Blockage will usually show up in the nylon boost tubing first.

Anyone got a "parts list" for guys wanting to do a home made job?

I don't have one myself but i'm thinking any store around you that has a lot of air tools/compressors.

Got the above filter from napa. Tell them you want a moisture filter for a compressor spray gun.
