I was figuring it'd be fine, plus I know EGTs at idle/65 cruise if I notice it being 25* lower, no big deal. Some compression fittings (whether or not they have a ferrule) can only go in as far as their lip... the setscrew-located probes are adjustable.
I was thinking it should be fine but have no experience with them so I wanted to double check. I'll hopefully be doing a DP and FP gauges pretty soon.I don't see these filters having any problem. My copper line doesn't really get that warm after a wot run. Just make sure to keep it away from any heat sources. I too was shocked to see the filters being made of some sort of plastic.
I was thinking put an inline ball valve after the hard line to shut it off and just disconnect and blow the soot out in the driveway. Just leave it plumbed, but not always on.
if you were any closer, I've got a bunch of stainless line and fittings laying around
