Tubing length for drive press. gauge??

How well do those filters hold up to the hot air?

Does running the TIP gauge off a T in the same hole as the pyro throw the EGT readings off?

... not if the sheathed probe is inserted far enough into the manifold (1/4" off the floor is fine).

But the way the probe is on my DiProcal I can't put it in any farther. Has a lip that sits in the fitting.

Some compression fittings (whether or not they have a ferrule) can only go in as far as their lip... the setscrew-located probes are adjustable.

I don't see these filters having any problem. My copper line doesn't really get that warm after a wot run. Just make sure to keep it away from any heat sources. I too was shocked to see the filters being made of some sort of plastic.

I was figuring it'd be fine, plus I know EGTs at idle/65 cruise if I notice it being 25* lower, no big deal.

I was thinking it should be fine but have no experience with them so I wanted to double check. I'll hopefully be doing a DP and FP gauges pretty soon.

I haven't run mine yet, and only intend to run it periodically when dialing in the wastegate with the new charger or making some test runs so no permanent use planned for me.

I was thinking put an inline ball valve after the hard line to shut it off and just disconnect and blow the soot out in the driveway. Just leave it plumbed, but not always on.

I had a brain storm at Home Depot I thought I'd share. For a filter: We used a 1/2" brass nipple with the appropriate compression fittings attached to both ends and stuffed the nipple with steel wool and even thought about using two of those coleman lantern wicks to pre and post filter.

Used the filter this weekend. It worked great for me but as indicated before, only for intermitten use.
