im currently running a box stock s464 with a .90 housing and was doing some research on how to determine which one id need. Ive found some info on street trucks saying to run a drive pressure gauge so I installed one and im running more then 1/1 which seems to be what a street truck should run but I havent seen much on whats a good ratio for the guys that pull. My truck currently snuffs at the end of the track and know I need gears but havent got all the money together for them yet some im looking for other ways to help me out. Right now mine runs about 40/42 boost and 56/60 drive pressure. I have a 1.0 housing sitting on the shelf. I thought about trying but not sure if that would be a good idea.

I think the bigger housing would make it harder to keep it lit at the end. 1/1 is ideal even pulling

Do you have any video of your truck pulling ? I mean no disrespect in saying this, but if it's the same truck as the one in your signature picture, it looks way overfueled to me.

Yes it is and no disrespect taking. Im still learning the cummins being this is my first year pulling with it. Right now im lost as to if it timing, fuel, or turbo that my problem with it

start with a video of what you think is a good run.. folks here will help.. but we need your combo to do so..
and you can have to much fuel, it will make a lot less power if its not being used properly..

Im not sure how.to post videos but im going to try tonight. Im running a s464 stock turbo 5x22 injectors, a 12mm 470cc 215 pump. Colt stg4 cam. Ive been messing with timing and seem to be losing rpms pulling so im putting it back to where it was. I reinstalled a number 6 fuel plate

What kind of egt's are you seeing? Too much fuel will put the fire out. What kind of timing are you running? In my own experience, I have spooled a lot larger of a charger with a smaller injector. When I ran the 2.5 class 8-10 years ago, I ran a 5@14 injector. I know technology changes but the principles are still there.

Heres a video sorry for quality. I hit about 15/1600 on my egts my first few pulls were with the timing at 22 then I jumped to 29 then 32. I notice the more timing I add the less rpm I can carry down the track 22 I could atleast carry 2400 and last pull it dumped to 2000 and snuffed out. So I backed up and tried 3rd 4low. I could carry 3800 but I think because I only have 4k springs she csmoked in the beginning and end but cleared up in the middle. That was the only pull my tires have spun at the end of the track and not snuffed

Try 18 degrees of timing. That's where I ran mine at. You can tell by what your saying, as you added timing it carried less rpms. I'll watch the video later, won't load at work. I feel your pain I fought a junk cam and injectors for three years before, I figured it out.

Its Telling me the video is set to "private". Won't load up.

I dont get why its private I wish I could just load them off my phone and I cant upload th ones on my Facebook. My names daniel lee if you all are on Facebook. Ill try and fix it. I also tried icing my intercooler and intake horn last time think that could hurt me?

Decided to try 2nd 4hi this weekend and she settled at 3200 but only 23/4mph wheel speed. It helped out though

Those injectors are entirely too big for that charger, pump and your elevation. I'd go down to a 5x.018 or even a GOOD set of 5x.016s and get a little more flow out of that injection pump and see what it does.

Thats what im kinda thinking now. We have a none points pull this weekend so im gonna see how they like a 2.6 turbo

Im glad to see you finally went down a gear like everyone suggested in the other thread  :woohoo: :cheer:

You should give a smaller injector a shot.... I had a similar setup a few years ago with a 5x18 injector. Either that or jump up to an S475 turbo or similar. I do think your turbine housing is way too small though. Your truck would be a totally different animal with a 475/96/1.32

If I remember right he is from Colorado. And the elevation can be tricky to setup chargers. Making it VERY easy to overfuel chargers. I do agree with the 96 wheel, but in a 1.10 T6 housing.

In 2.5 we have to keep to a t4 based turbine housing. This should be rather interesting for me this weekend im pulling in Montrose and the elevation is 6100. Being.its not a points pull im gonna borrow my buddy s475 thats clipped to 2.6 and see how she does in 2.6
