Turbo A/R breakdown info needed

it's the area at the tangent point...

same point the area in the A/R ratio is taken

Come again?

A/R ratio is constant at any point along the entire scroll from start to finish...

It is literally Area Divided by radius at all points.

And besides that, what would be "The tangent point"? The point where the scroll deviates from it's sweeping radius increase and takes off toward the flange? Even that is non-existent on a tangential housing.

What do you mean by "The tangent point"?

Ya this one has only been ran enough to start the truck and go down the track once. Well twice after this coming weekend. How big is the exhaust housing on my charger Dan? You study them s4 chargers alot. Bullseye S483 comp. 1.32 a/r

My guess is it is a 1.32 t6

I guess you're right, A/R should remain constant through the scroll

how many tengential Holset housings have you come across?

I don't know really anything about Holset housings. I've only ever swapped one on an HX35 the one time. Although I thought it was tangential.

I just made my second trip through the warehouse looking for the little sob and coming up with nothing. Honestly.... who steals a used turbine housing, lol.

crackheads :o

I think I may have gotten mixed up... I'm thinking "on center" housings vs. tangential I think...

anyhow, the cm^2 measurement on a holset is taken in that pink shaded area in the pic above.
