Turbo Break down barney style

Gonna pool some knowledge guys.. trying to decide my best bet on turbo's

Mod:
-96 12v 180hp P Pump
-head studs
-4k springs
-60lbs valve springs
-No fuel plate
-AFC turned all way up (star wheel)
-SDX 140hp injectors
-stock lift pump (mech)
-exhaust manifold is school bus style straight drop


**Trying to decide on a "budget" turbo... looking for 500hp at wheels or more... also have a shot at twins for 2k boost would be in relm of 55lbs..

Any idea's what turbo to go with?? HX40? GT3788R?? little help guys
 
Search first, just go back through the threads.

Any single 62 or 63 could get you to 500. 64 would be easier.

I wouldn't bother with twins unless you tow, or want an easier higher amount of hp.
 
I had 535 on the dyno with a 62/71/14 htt. Ppump maxed, delivery valves,afe intake 140 hp dd sticks... Not cheap, was around 1800 new but, it worked
 
so how many people shops acctually have a lazer or is it lathe:what:.. think about this..*bdh*
 
Idk about lazer cut, they were put in at schieds when they built the pump for me and set the timing at 18. Also the pump is set so each injector gets the same amount of fuel and has the 4,000 gov spring kit in it.
 
With the 6spd now its better i can keep the boost built up and it don't smoke 2 bad but it has plenty of fuel... As long as i don't just put my foot to the floor it aint bad at all that's y i got a 66/71/13 htt on the way so it'll cool down the egts and use the fuel better...
