can you run a hx50 as a single on a commonrail with a 2nd gen manifold and still be streetable
Have to run a facory trubo for my pulling class. Looking to run a bigger turbo but must say holset on it.
 
oh my lord...thats how your snctioning body determines factory turbo...if it says holset? Where ya pull at? I would like to come see the action!
 
Stock 3rd gen holset on the left. Stock appearing Holset on the right. You said it just needs to say Holset, correct?

That HT4B on the right is too large to run in the 3.0 inducer class at 3.3" but hey, it says Holset so it must be ok. I'll bet on the right truck, it could support 1000 to 1200 HP.

Better check the rules before you go out buying "stock appearing" turbos. :stab:

Yea it'll work as a single...theres prolly better choices out there though, just make sure on the size of the exhaust housing too.
