twins spoolup?

howdy folks,
I may have a great deal on a set of twins. They are HX40 with internal wastegate machined out. HT3B with 22cm hot housing no wastegate. How do you think these would spool on my 12 valve, auto? Compared to my 62-14. I've been looking for more air without sacrificing to much spoolup, would this be a good option for me?

I just got the same setup as you but I do not know the exact measurements on them yet. So any trouble or advice you have when making them fit I would like to hear about it. Mine are going on my 24v

if you could get by with half the oil drain capacity, the factory oil drains would be half the size (DON'T DO IT!)

I would tap into the pan. just punch it as high as is feasable. they way we used to do it on supercharger installs back in the day is take a punch and literally punch the pan and keep punching it larger and larger until you can tap it with an NPT tap. lots of grease on the tap, obviously. you can run an NPT to hose nipple. teflon tape or silicone on the threads. if you want you can tack the fitting to the pan to keep it from backing out.

or, you can forgoe the whole punch it out thing and drill it and just weld a bung, but you need to be concerned with the metal filings in the pan obviously. if you wash the pan out with diesel, the drain plug should catch anything that doesn't get flushed, but an additional LARGE magnet on the sump is good insurance.

personally, I would explore every option to NOT pull the pan! LOL

Does the drain from the hx40 go into the inlet of the ht3b or is the inlet for the ht3b supplied from some where else? Maybe a stupid question but I haven't seen pictures or posts about it anywhere.

NO! both turbos are fed and drained separately! there are two oil feed orifices on the filter housing to supply them.

I noticed that today when i was working on my truck,,I just wasn't sure...do you guys also run a high volume oil pump at all or still use the stock one???
