TX: 48RE core and TC $500

Unless the pics clear up and show something different, it is a 47RE. The carrier is aluminum.
 
Well dang. Can a mod change the thread title to say 47RE now. I it still worth $500? I do not think TMoney is interested if its a 47RE. Anyone else interested? Or I guess I could part it out?

It was probably out of a early 3rd gen with 47re, the case would work for a 47re and pre tv motor 48re
 
Just found out from the guy I bought it from that it came out of his 2004.
 
Just noticed the 3 pinion lower planet, someone has swapped parts in that transmission if it came out of a Diesel. Hate to say it but the 3 tab thrust washer on the sunshell is another sign that it may be out of a gas truck, have never seen that in a Diesel transplant Transmission.

Yes it came out of his 2004 cummins to be specific. So, it looks like I got jerked around on this. I'm not sure what its worth, anyone point me in the right direction? 3 gear planetary good or bad, I'm guessing bad.
 
So basically the shafts, and case should interchange between them all but the rest would probably not be desirable?
 
Ok, well since we have determined that it is not a 48RE, I will now just part it out. Anyone need any of the parts? Shafts, case, OD unit, etc etc??
